Have on stand on the opposite side of the class to the other.
Give each set of pairs one of the cards.
Tell one student A from each set of pairs to shout one of the words on the card. student B has to write that word down.
You can also get students to whisper the words.

Minimal Pair Game
With these minimal pairs I get my students to stand across the room from each other and call out/whisper one of the words. Their partners have to write down what was said.
Work very well with the ppt. Also further explanations can be found on.

FCE Part 3 Language Grab
I like to laminate these cards and hand them out at the start of class. I like students to try and use them as much as possible throughout the class. I also use them whenever students do focused speaking exam practice.
Really good for getting students used to the language they need for the Cambridge exams

3: Im lost. A pronunciation maze
A quick activity to help students get used to the 3: sound and its different spellings. (er, wor, ear, ir, ur and so on)
A fun and interesting way of improving pronunciation of commonly mispronounced words and great for vocab building. Totally editable for any other sounds you choose to use.

The Kooks Naive
Rather than just doing the simple gap fill this is. I tend to listen to the opening 5 lines and get students to write down what they hear. Then I ask them to translate it into their own language and back into English but using slightly different words.
When were done I get them to tell me what the song means.

What is Morality
This is a class (or two) I prepared for my higher level learners (B2+) to get them to think about various moral decisions tey may come across in life. Its split into six different tasks each of which can be used as a stand alone activity.
