I�m an English teacher at a boarding school in Denmark. I�ve lived in the US for 7 years - teaching ESL students. Back in Denmark I teach advanced level 9th and 10th graders as well as Cambridge IGCSE English as Second Language.

Where is Liberia and what is its historical relationship to the US?
This is an info-sheet to go along with my "Uncle Tom�s Cabin" text. As the name of the country indicates, Liberia was �created� as a place of liberty for freed US slaves. It comes with a vocabulary and you can provide the translation or ask your students to do so.
