Im a Brit living in Spain teaching English because thats all I could find over here. I like it though. I also upload my worksheets on ISL Collective, normally a day or two after I have done so here. br You can order my books by pasting this into the browser: https://www.amazon.es/Dale-Bates/e/B08QD5M5PQ?ref=sr_ntt_srch_lnk_1&qid=1613573760&sr=8-1

Select two speakers, one orange and the other green. They throw a dice first and then speak the line that corresponds with the number. The speakers move through the list alphabetically. After they finish, another couple start. When everyone has finished, compare how different the conversation was in content but how similar in context. Different n...

IT Crowd S2 Episode 5 Smoke and Mirrors
A question list for use with Series 2 Episode 5 of the IT Crowd. Ive seen a couple of excellent worksheets for this very episode, by the way, but my students like big question lists to see how many they can answer. If this sheet isnt what youre looking for just enter IT Crowd in the search box and you might find what youre looking for

Common Negative Prefixes
A short worksheet about common negative prefixes. The answers are on the back. I have tried to give some rules which, for the most part, work. However, there are a lot more exceptions than you would think.

Alternatives to "The Best"
6 different ways to say "the best" in the form of a dice-game. Introduce the alternative expressions and then roll a dice for each of the 18 sentences in the box to rephrase according to the number on the dice and the corresponding expression or word. Useful for Cambridge exam preparation as it helps to develop range.

Causative
For some reason you never get the full story on this in grammar books. This is about as complete as it gets. Ill make another one soon.

They should have done this
A short explanation of should and how to use it in the past followed by a story of an unlucky man who goes to a conference. Students take it in turns to read the story and then read and answer the questions for each paragraph. There is no answer key as it is all rather subjective.

AS and LIKE
A short but relatively useful worksheet on the difference between as and like. Do be aware that in a couple of cases, the answers could be either. However, nearly all of them are pretty much black and white. The answers are on the back.

Would rather
A short worksheet to help students use "would rather" correctly. Only for basic use at A2 level. I intend to do a much more detailed worksheet later on. This is intended for speaking practice rather than reading and writing.
