Battleships FCE speaking part 1
A great game to play with FCE classes and get away from constant exam practice. You can also learn a few phrasal verbs with it. Put Ss in pairs, get them to select their ships then battle away asking part one questions along the way.

Minimal Pair Game
With these minimal pairs I get my students to stand across the room from each other and call out/whisper one of the words. Their partners have to write down what was said. Work very well with the ppt. Also further explanations can be found on. http://thefluencyfacilitator.blogspot.com.es/

FCE Speaking part 2 Grab activity
I use this to improve my students vocabulary for describing pictures in FCE part two. I make 3 or four copies and get the students to take one when they use it whilst comparing pictures. The winning student is the one with the most cards at the end of class. Alternatively I use it as a hand out and make sure they bring it to every class. My st...

Critical Listening
I use this as a way to help my students listen critically. After I have presented them with the interview I ask each of them to go home and listen to an interview themselves and write 5-8 multiple choice questions.

What is Morality
This is a class (or two) I prepared for my higher level learners (B2+) to get them to think about various moral decisions tey may come across in life. Its split into six different tasks each of which can be used as a stand alone activity. http://thefluencyfacilitator.blogspot.com.es/2017/06/morality.html

Guardians of The Galaxy Review and Wordsearch
I made this wordsearch and movie review for my PET (B1) class. We watched the film in class and then went about doing the activities. The results I got from their reviews ranged from sublime to ridiculous but it did help them write above the level they had previously been working at http://thefluencyfacilitator.blogspot.com.es/

Language Game boards
For those times in class when youve come to the end of your plan and there are 10 minutes left and students begging for a game. I tend to use this powerpoint and take questions from previous units in the book. Great for revision and drilling. All sorts of games available. I add as I find new ones t...

Higher or Lower
A quick template for bigger and better things. I tend to add a new slide each week and get my students to practice their language of speculation and comparison. Its also a wonderful tool for getting students to use big numbers, years and money. Other than the two ideas on the ppt Ive also used the...
