100 words individual student record sheet
In Australia we teach elementary learners the 100 most commonly used words. These words are found in many sentences. We do a great deal of activities around these words so that students learn them well. This is a record sheet for the teacher to use with individual students to tick off which ones they know and check their progress over time.

listening to words, for pronunciation
Students can do this activity in a computer room with the teacher or in the class room on hard copy. The teacher covers her mouth and states a word and students need to write what they hear. You could also do it without covering your mouth for the first time. It sharpens their listening and assists with recognizing pronunication differences.
