Pay it forward reading comprehension
The text is not from me. It is an excerpt I took on the Pay it forward foundation. Teachers have the permission of the publisher to download and distribute copies to their students for use in the classroom. I have seperated the text in 4 parts and included about 10 questions for each. This is a good way to see if the students read the text or only...

The diary of
Students have to pretend they are a prisoner in a concentration camp. You can get the ID card on the website of the US Holocaust Museum. I used different situations to practice different verb tenses we saw in class, all linked to the Holocaust. Enjoy!

The Paper Clips Project evaluation situation part 3
This is the third part of the L.E.S. (learning and evaluation situation) that I created using the Paper Clips Project. I based this L.E.S. on the structure that is used by the MELS (for Quebec teachers) for the 2nd cycle in Secondary School. My students loved it eventhough it was an evalution! I hope you will too! Enjoy!

It gets better: no more bullying!
This project is part of my homophobia segment. The students watch a few clips on youtube on the itgetsbetterproject channel. They listen to the song recorded by the Broadway stars, they discuss the issues related to bullying and write. Its a pretty complete project. Note that you will need youtube access. Enjoy!

This is an LES to prepare Quebec students for the MELS exam. The students have already learned about paranormal investigation in the other document (one of my printables) and now they must be the investigators and write their own report. I hope you will enjoy! I know my students do!!

Write for rights: Amnesty International
This is a reading comprehension that I do with my advanced students. They read and answer the questions, then I give them a real case that you can find here http://www.amnesty.ca/writeathon/?page_id=12
After they are done writing, we send out the letters. Its a written production AND it serves a good cause!
