This is a practice piece for technical reading. You could have the students actually follow the directions or just read and answer the questions. It is set up somewhat like a reading test to help students get used to that format.

Girls- a wordless book

Christmas Vocabulary Match-part 3
Students match the word to the picture. Then they write sentences using those words. There are 3 worksheets that go together to help kids practice a 15-word list. I am using this as part of a Christmas thematic unit for my ESL students who are brand new to the America.

Easy Crossword Puzzle
This crossword puzzle uses some basic sight words. The clues are all cloze sentences. The sentences DO NOT go together. My students are working on using these words in sentences, so they created the clues.

This worksheet was created to review parts of a bicycle and to give Ss the chance to use the new vocabulary in writing. Before assigning the worksheet I would be sure that Ss understand all of the language. With younger students, you might even want to do it together and have the students copy a writing passage.

This is a worksheet I created to go with the "One Sad, Little Boy" book. Ss will put the pictures in the order of the story. Ordinal number words are above the blank boxes. Ss will then write about their favorite parts of the story using specific language structures and vocabulary from the story.
