SS get some functional language for apologising, then there are two role plays for them to play out in class. Change the wine and cigarettes to something else if you have younger students! Upper-intermediate conversation class lesson.

First a question and a few answers from Yahoo! answers, then a short vocabulary matching exercise followed by discussion questions. Warning: Depending on your class you may want to take out the word "Kinky" from the reading and also the vocabulary exercise. Also the exercise could be suitable for younger students once that change was made.
