Table Manners Game and Jazz Chant
I used the Small Talk Jazz chant cassette, but you could read the jazz chant and have students fill in the blanks first. Then, they practice the chant. After that, they play the game where they are asking classmates to pass the various items.

Halloween Superlative Taste Test
My students enjoyed this activity last Halloween. I brought in 4 different types of candy for them to describe. They then voted on what candy I provided the kids at Halloween. I recommend using 4 very different types of candy. I used Paydays, Nestle Crunch, Reeses and Skittles. This will give them a lot to compare.

Verb Tense Review Dice
Print the following on card stock paper if possible and use in small groups to prompt discussion and review the verb tenses. It is for intermediate and advanced conversation or writing practice. Students roll both dice and then talk or write about the topic using the tense on the second dice. It works well to make the dice different colors. My stud...

The Gerund Conversation Game
This really needs to be printed out in landscape for it to look right. This is a game that students play in groups of about 4. You just need a dice and markers for moving around the board. The students read the question aloud and answer using a gerund. I usually have students pick 5-10 questions to interview a native speaker as a follow-up for home...
