Finding the Main Idea of the Paragraph.
The main idea is a general idea. It states the central point of the paragraph. Usually, the main idea appears in a sentence called the topic sentence. The rest of the paragraph provides supporting details for the main idea. These can be arguments, examples statistics and numbers, etc.
