FILM - LOVE ACTUALLY - listening activities
Love Actually is my favourtie British romantic comedy for Xmas time.
There are several different love stories in the film. This worksheet includes two different listening actitivies (fill-in-the-gaps and T/F) related to Sarah and Karls.
The activities are simple, but aimed mainly for adult beginners.

SPEAKING - Investigation role-play
An investigation role-play for advanced students.
Given a situation (the stealing of a red, expensive Jaguar car), five people will be included in the story: the suspect, two policemen, the lawyer and the suspects parent. Guess who stole the car!
Real situation, good to practice crime vocabulary, as well as fluency, and lots of fun, depending on...

Basic Level Writing Mistakes
I developed this worksheet after having collected my students a writing about their last holidays.
I made a list of their "hit-parade" mistakes, so that all of them could correct their own and their matess mistakes.
They found it useful, so now I do it every time a collect a writing.
Hope it helps you :)

LISTENING - Communication Problems
Hilarious chapter from the well-known British comedy "Fawlty Towers".
Ive used with pre-intermediate students, they had a lot of fun, and understood how easy is having a misunderstanding just confusing a simple sound. They understood at last the importance of phonetics.. :D
Its a listening activity divided as usual in three parts: fill-in-the-g...

THE STORY OF AN ORANGE
Simple worksheet to make students learn and practice how to write properly.
The topic is funny: the story of an orange since the very beginning until it comes to your plate.
First, they have to put the ideas in order, and then write a coherent and cohesive story using the linkers provided.
It worked very well with my students :)

SPEAKING PRACTICE for A1-A2 students
Similar worksheet to the one I uploaded last week. This time, however, students have the title of the topic they have to talk about for one minute and, just in case they get stuck, I already give them some ideas to talk about.
They usually prefer this kind of guided exercises than a free one.
It can also be given to them in advance, to prepare th...

CLEAR SUMMARY CHART for THERE IS-ARE, A, SOME, ANY
Ive designed this guide for Beginner-Elementary students.
Its not unusual to have some of them experiencing problems with SOME-ANY. So I prepared this (rather clear, I think) summary chart, with colours and examples, so that they can understand it properly.
It worked very well when I used it, even with weak adult students.
Hope it helps!!!
