Negative Question Tags
Although an elementary aspect to grammar, I�ve found students with high levels struggling with this. This is a kind of cue-response exercise. It can be done vocally in class or assigned as homework. It can even be done as a speaking exercises only with the teacher saying the questions and the students converting them. Answers are provided.

Idioms Quiz: Part 1
Print, laminate and cut out the cards. Organise the class into two teams. Take one card at a time and read out the first question (or give to the students to read). Teams must choose A, B, or C, as the answer. One point is given for a correct answer. The origin of the idiom is then read out with an additional point given for a correct answer.

Time Battleships
Played the same as battleships only with days and times. Get the students to write 4 words in the boxes. Words should be no longer than 7 letters. They then take it in turns to hit each others battleships by asking where the letters are. A hit always gets another go.
