Feminism and Cooking: CAE reading and debate
A reading that I adapted from the Guardian newspaper about traditional gender roles, feminism and cooking. This is followed up with a role-play on whether to include cooking in the school curriculum or not. Personality cards are provided as well as answers. There is also a small exercise for formal and informal memo-writing.

Restaurant Booking Game and Role-Play
Pre-teach necessary vocabulary for reserving tables in restaurants and then divide your class into pairs and have them do the dice games together. Once they have practised the fixed expressions in the dice game 6 times they can then act out the role-plays.

Questions and Answers Bingo
Cut out the slips of paper below and place in a cup. Hand out the bingo cards to the students. Take the slips of paper out of the cup one at a time and say the questions while students cross off the appropriate response on their cards. Students must say the response while crossing them off.
