EUROPE DAY May 9th
A bit early for EUROPE DAY but I did this with my year 9 using free posters from the Europa site and it worked very well. It could be used as a webquest too. This is fully editable as usual with teachers key.

Lets play shop: 2 pages GROUP WORK [editable]
Great for small groups but Ive used it as a pairwork too. In groups of 4 one pupil is the shop assistant the others customers when theyve asked all their questions they change shop or partner. Then they compare shops and say where they would or wouldnt shop and justify so it also reactivates the comparative (cheap/expensive)

Film cards 1
Cut out the cards. Pupils talk about the film from the information given. Great to revise the passive voice and help them present a film of their own choice later on. You could even ask them to make a card each along the same lines.

MATILDA Film Worksheet
A nice way to revise the present simple: likes/dislikes but als can/cant and Have got for physical description. Start at the beginning of the film and end with the prinicpal throwing darts at photos of the pupils! I pause a lot and encourage them to say as much as they can. Its quite surprising how much they know.
