Its summer!
First of all I have to thank Charmed one for the template Ive used for this worksheet."Grazie". I prepared this pictionary with my 7-year-old school children who googled the words and picked the pictures, typing "public domain" after each word. They understood the importance of respecting rules and felt very proud of themselves. We enjoyed to wor...

Leprechaun Time
This is a "listen and do" activity meant for very young children. First the teacher tells them how to colour the picture and then he/she asks questions about the Leprechaun. This is an opportunity to talk about Irish legends

Footguard cover
At the beginning of a new school year I give my young children a cover for their exercise books. I usually prepare one cover for each grade I teach, this time theres only one so my young students have to read, understand and complete the sentences without my help. Lets cross our fingers!

Back to school mini book 2
This is the second mini book with school supplies pictures. Children make the book, colour, read the images adding the colours they have used: "Ive got a green stapler" and then they ask their friends: "And what have you got?" Another game consists in trying to guess the colours of the objects: "Have you got a red sticky tape?" and so on. The p...

007 Secret Message
I use this sort of exercise to have children practise spelling and revise numbers and colours. They play in small groups of 3 and "decode" the message. After that they read the message and do the spelling of each word. They may also write their own message in numbers and tell it to other groups reading the numbers.

Counting by tens
I play a sort of tennis game with the children: I say a number, ten, and the child I point at has to quickly answer Twenty and so on. The child that doesnt answer correctly has to do something for his/her friends: collect books, clean the blackboard... Its great fun.
