Simple map to use for directions. Worksheet included in another printable that asks questions about this map. Good for using simple directional commands and next to, between, opposite, and on the corner of. The simplier format at first is helpful for beginning students.

Animal Names and Sentences
Students first use a word bank to label the animals. They then put the animals into six different categories. The last step is that students use these categories to write sentences about them. I used this with a class of beginning speakers and found that they were able to do this quite easily and could apply it to write about other animals.

Use these cards to play a game similar to Go Fish. Students get 5 cards. They are trying to get sets of 4 of the same supply.
