This song went down well with my younger students aged about 10 and 11. We were studying food vocabulary and I just lightened up the lesson with a song. Nicole Kidman Biography Simple Past Tense
This is a simplified gap-fill exercise using the biography of Nicole Kidman. I removed the verbs in the simple past tense and the students therefore have to understand the meanings of the verbs as well as use them in the past. I used this in a Theme of Australia and famous people from Australia.

This is quite a good introduction to the 1st and 2nd conditional. I had my students listen to the song and fill in the gaps, then we discussed the different forms of the 1st and 2nd conditional.
