I created this activity after watching the film with my students as I wanted to reinforce sentence-making and the use of modals; The activity was intended as a fun activity as well, hence the games.

American Teen Movie
This WS can be helpful if you want to work on a film extract (listening and understanding) and teach high school vocabulary. The first part of the WS is not mine but was taken from the website "learnenglishfeelgood.com" which offers video extracts and questions - which is very helpful.

Holidays in the US
This is a useful worksheet to introduce the simple past in a writing or speaking activity. The students have to tell what the boy did during his holidays. Verbs are given at the bottom and some pictures not related to the US are included on purpose so as to introduce negative forms as naturally as possible.

Drama Celebrities, fans and gangsters meeting at the airport
This is an updated and extended version of another play I wrote earlier. The cast can count 11 students and the lines are quite short and easy for more rhythm and better memorisation and acting. If you add in props and costumes, its even funnier. Theres also a set of preliminary activities you can do before you get on to the real thing! Enjoy!

Segregation Martin Luther King Rosa Parks
This test was taken by all same-age students in our school as an attempt to assess their ability to react to an unknown text and more or less unknown topic: biographies of Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks. The questions focus on "right/wrong" + justify. The second part is about writing.

Drama Club: lets act!
Ive written this script but it is based on a story found in the textbook Spring 6e. My younger students had great fun doing the play, dressing up and so on! its a great way to revise the basics. Hope youll enjoy it and Im interested if you have any script youd like to share. cheers!

Drama preliminary games
This set is composed of activities designed as preliminary work before actually handing out the script "Celebrities....airport" Ive downloaded. This is good as an ice-breaker or to cast students. The activities consist of: miming characters, acting out situations and working on getting the intonation right. Ive found it very useful.

Penny Lane, the Beatles
In this two-page activity, you will study a song by the Beatles (an old band for our teenagers now, sigh...) through the means of new technologies (you tube video clips). Its not just a fill-in the blanks thing, there are also questions about the Band and the song to be answered thanks to the video clip and Wikipedia and the second part revolves a...
