Are You Sleeping, Mr. Bear?
Sing the song with the students, then choose what could wake up a sleeping bear- alarm clock, shouting girls, falling piano.
You can then change the song to "all the girls are shouting" instead of "all the bells are ringing," or whatever the kids choose to wake up Mr. Bear.

Lily Allen 22 Lyrics and Discussion Questions
I love this song, so Im showing the music video to my teacher class. Well use it as a springboard to a discussion of the perception of women after they hit a certain must-be-married age, something very important in Korean culture.

MASH Future Game
You remember the MASH game from your youth- you list stuff in your life, draw a circle, and count how many lines in it makes, and cross out words to find out what is your future. This template makes playing that game easy. I made this for my Korean kids, but you can change the words to match yours.

With descriptions and quotes from Billy Joel, Madonna, AC/DC, Journey and Bon Jovi, I made this worksheet to introduce Western music to my Korean students. It includes some grammar-related questions, since I was trying to teach them basic grammar at the time.

Animal Poem Parade
For my winter camp, I had the kids get in groups of two. They made animal masks for the animal poem they chose, and they performed the poem together. Most of these poems came from the Internet, but I found them from different sources and put them here with these cute pictures that let the kids know what the animals are. I also wrote a few of the po...

Cell Phone Game
Play this game- its sort of a dialogue- any time you need to review numbers. You put the students into small groups, and give them each a "telephone number." The teacher calls the "phone number" of the group theyre calling, and then has them complete a dialogue. They could then ask other numbers questions- simple math questions, for example. The ...
