Modals of Obligation and Advice
This was a worksheet my class used to review modals of obligation. They had given presentations about healthy living and the fill in the blanks are information from their presentations. You could easily edit them to fit something your students are doing in class too.

Thanksgiving Game and Brain Challenge
This game with answer key is an adaptation of Paula A.s fantastic Halloween Brain Challenge. There are 7 different activities. Ive shortened some of the activities, so think of this as the shortened version of the other one. My students loved it last year and Im looking forward to doing this shorter game this year. It should take about 45 minute...

Valentine "Mad-lib" Verb Tense Review
My students have loved this activity for years. I pull it out around Valentines Day to review parts of speech. It works like a mad-lib, if you are familiar with them. Students work in small groups or pairs to come up with random words using the parts of speech listed. Then, they insert the random words into the "Valentine." I put a copy of the let...

We review wh-questions versus the yes/no versus the present perfect questions. Its a great grammar review and warm-up too. You can have students circulate and try to get a BINGO or see ...

Gerund Pairing Activity
This is a great warm-up or lead-in when introducing Gerunds after prepositions. Cut up the cards and students find the partner that completes their question. I have students share their questions and answers with the class as I uncover the questions on an OHP. Then the pairs share their answers with the class.
