Bank vocabulary
A worksheet to teach banking vocabulary. I used this to preteach banking vocabulary before I did the banking roleplay found on Boggles World ESL. http://bogglesworldesl.com/bank_roleplay.htm Because its new vocabulary we went through each question as a class. Then we did dareka1s worksheet: http://www.eslprintables.com/printable.asp?id=140142...

Advice matching
Students match the advice to the issue. Example, Im bored---why dont you read a book. Students then talk about what advice is good advice and what advice is bad advice. (Example of bad advice: You should quit school if its hard.) This is pretty simple, I used it introduce the language of suggestion.

The lifeboat game
This is the old "Lifeboat Game" where students have to decide who will leave the lifeboat. While this exercise is not used in too many ethics classes anymore, it was interesting to use in an ESL setting. I was worried that it would be too much for my High Schoolers, but it worked well once the student groups were arranged carefully. Some adaptat...
