Speaking Card Game
My students love to play this version of go fish. I laminated the cards and kids play the game even on their free time.
First I taught them the sentence stems and their meaning; I have a ladybug, Do you have a ladybug, Yes I do, No I don�t.
Then we can play the game.

Upper vs Lowe Case Letters
Teacher dictates, "Colour capital A purple, colour lower case b red, etc. (try to keep lower case letters only 2 colors making them easier to count later) After this students have to race to count the letters. In the bottom they write how many of each letter there is. They also must count how many upper and how many lower case letters there are.

Vancouver 2010 sport events
Students will learn the names of the different sporting events in the 2010 winter Olympics. They can race to finish filling in the crossword or you can encourage partner work so students speak the words out loud to eachother.

Wal E Shapes
Students can learn the names of 4 basic shapes. Then they can count to see how many of each they can find. After everything is done they can colour. You can even teach them colours. Tell them to colour all circles green and all triangles blue, etc.

Winter Activities Card Game

Students will learn about western winter activites using the future tense. They will ask and answer questions about winter activities.
