Life event--past tense practice
This is an information gap activity. Students can practice using past tense and read years. Students work in pairs (A & B) and they need to read the life event of a certain person to fill in the missing year.
Students can practice speaking and exchanging information. It can be a review activity of past tense for 5 to 10 minutes.

Selling a special job
Teachers may cut these cards and give every student one card. The idea is that students need to be salespeople to sell the job they have. They must sell their job and buy a job. Talk about Music
I did this lesson for a 1.5hr class. My adults students really enjoyed it because they learned and listened to different types of music. If the time is permitted, teachers may talk about TV shows and genres of movies. My students liked my last activity which is to interview a Star :)

Weather and clothing
