Ss read the story and underline all present tense verbs. Ss then change the story and make it past simple (by changing the verbs). It is only A5, so there are two worksheets on each A4 sheet. Save the planet! (Yeah, I know, this profession isn�t necessarily very good at that.)

Ss read the different descriptions for each person and then make a number of sentences about how much people have in common. There are more options for sentences than spaces, so Ss might end up with different answers.

Who stole my laptop? Mystery game.
Situation: Someone stole the teachers� laptop. Ss need to interview each other to find out who has no alibi. Who stole the laptop and at what time?
Ss each get a role card. Ss must question each other about what they were doing. Answers should be in past continuous form: "I was eating lunch with Jim."
