Myths and the Loch Ness Monster
Students are provided with arguments relating to the existence/non-existence of the Loch Ness Monster. They must then state whether they feel the monster exists and explain the rationale behind their decision. There are some comprehension questions provided also.

Spelling and Proofreading
Students are initially asked to choose the correct spelling for a series of words, I generally then set these for a vocab test in the next lesson. There is then a proofreading exercise for the students to conduct. And finally, there are a series of sentences with one or two errors within each one - the students are asked to identify these errors.

Students practise writing the colour words and then colour-in some pictures and write sentences to describe their drawings.

Writing Recipes - Using Instructions
Students must read the recipe for a Victoria Sponge cake. The recipe for pancakes is also given and students must copy the style (ie instructions) for the pancake recipe too. It�s a great worksheet for practising the use of written instructions.
