 My students always like learning the -umble words, all of which share negative and even humorous connotations. There is an explanation, a word list, and a fill-in section on the first page, more difficult literature and inference sections on the second, and some teacher suggestions and a key on page three. Enjoy.

 		 Writing diary entries for story "My Challenge" from "Worlds Together"
Students write diary entries based on the characters in "My Challenge" by Melissa Medrano in the reader "Worlds Together" (published by Addison Wesley 1995). I can�t copy the story (copyrighted), but if you are using that textbook, I can give you this activity I developed from it.
