Tag Questions
Teaching Tag Questions step by step is quite helpful for my students when they learn them for the 1st time. After they are familiar with these 4 patterns: To be, Modals, Simple Present, and Simple Past, teacher can give more challenging exercise by mixing all patterns. Hope its useful for u, too :)

Writing via Pictures
Id like to share a writing project done in my class. I look for some pictures from the newspaper, internet, etc and then ask students to write their comments. For older students, they can find the pictures by themselves, write their comments and submit the project to the teacher. A good practice to express ideas!!
