This is a great activity to get sts talking.
1- sts choose a famous person to be.
2- put sts in groups of 5-6 and tell them they are going on a balloon journey.
3- OH NO!!! The balloon in crashing you need to throw some one out.

Debating sentences
1) Put sts in teams of 3-4.
2) Cut up sentences.
3) Give each team (or member) the unscramble w/s.
4) Give each team one cut up sentence each.
5) sts must unscramble the sentences in 2 mins.
6) After 2 mins change sentences in a clockwise direction around the class.
7) Elicit answers and write them on the board.
8) ENJOY!!!

DIY Wordsearch
Instead of you making wordsearches for your students challenge them to make one for each other.
Take whatever the focus vocab is(sports, food, animals). Put sts in pairs and ask them to make one then exhange them with other pairs.
Keeps them busy and it is good fun.
