Mr Bean video comprehension exercise (present continuous)
A fairly simple comprehension activity using a lovely youtube video I found around the present continuous. It is mainly a reading activity as the phrases are written on the video so it would work without the sound.

Telling the time dominoes digital clocks
Pupils can complete this activity either in a collaborative group or as a game. If as a game, deal all the cards equally, then a pupil with a star on their card may start the game with that card, and put down as many cards as they can. It then moves on to the next pupil, etc, until someone wins by having no cards left.

Trapdoor ice-breaker activity
This is an activity I do with my new classes. The aim is to get through each step. One pupil reads it to the other one, and if they get an answer wrong, they have to start again from the start, until they find the right path. They then swap and the other pupil tries to get through as quickly as possible. Great ice-breaker!
