Days of the week poem
A poem which I have used when working with children who are learning the days of the week. I set them the task of finding out which day of the week they were born and either put their photo or their name next to the appropriate line of the poem. I make up 7 sheets(one for each day) and then make a display for the classroom.

Favourite Food game
A silly game where children roll a dice and select the item in row A then again in row B and so on, they then write these words,in order blank positions in the text and then read aloud their results. The children seem to enjoy this and the nonsense results.
Good for understanding instructions, a little writing then reading aloud practise.
