Henry VIII : POEM
A short peom to introduce the past simple of irregular verbs and the different pronunciations. I use a transparency to recite it . Then the pupils copy it and decorate it as they like at home. There�s a timeline activity to follow.

A trip around Ireland: Group work
Great practice for the present perfect. Put pupils into groups and let them speak freely. They decide what she has and has done. There are two sheets to creat more variety when listening. It worked well in class.You could plot the routes and use it as a test.
