RC: what is a geek?
A look at the term �geek� which is usually used to describe an unsociable computer addict. There is a T/F exercise and some comprehension questions. A similar term is �nerd�, but I think nerd is more pejorative than geek.

Bertie the dog rescues Fluffy the kitten
A short heart-warming story based on an interactive card by the fabulous Jacqui Lawson (link included). After reading the passage, the students match up the sentence parts, then they replace the verbs. The key to the match-up is at the bottom of page 2.

Two passages. The phrases they have to paraphrase are numbered and underlined. The alternatives are provided (sometimes more than one alternative - they must choose one), also a key.
