SHUTTER ISLAND - EXTRACT FROM THE NOVEL
After working on the trailer, this extract is a good way to train students to identify the different characters, the chronology of events and what the characters are doing/did. It worked quite well with my students. I also give them a grid to complete to help them organise the pieces of information they find. Have fun.

Horror stories characters
Quick vocabulary activity that can be done by the pupils at home before starting a sequence on a horror film or horror story (I did it before working on Tim Burtons Vincent, Polanskis The Fearless Vampire Killers or Anne Rices Interview With The Vampire and it worked quite well). Another possible activity that you can do after that one if you wo...

Twilight Zone - The man in the bottle
I have divided the episode into 5 parts. It is better to watch the film bit by bit to gradually come to the final twist. The first two pages are meant to be studied with a stronger group than page 3 & 4, where I have adapted the level of the activities for a weaker group. I will try to prepare other stuff on other episodes soon. You can find the e...

A debate over the idea of gambling.
On the worksheet preview it doesnt seem to be very readable but on my version, everything is where it should be and the text is readable as I have shaded the bills in the picture menu.
Thank you for telling me if everythings fine for you too.
