Song "Just Breathe" by Pearl Jam
This is a song from which Ive extracted some words that students often find confusing: other, another, none, some etc. I thought it might be nice to give them the context of a song to explore their use. Students can try to complete some of the gaps before listening to the song for the first time.

Coldplay "Viva la vida"
Students will probably be quite familiar with this song by Coldplay "Viva la vida" but I think its still fun to use it in class. The lyrics are meaningful and open to interpretation, which is good for advanced students. The activity concentrates on some vocabulary, but the grammar - used to/would - could also be exploited.

Michael Bubls song "I havent met you yet
Its a very optimistic song and could be done as an activity with students after revising Present Perfect tenses. The activity, however, focuses on some multi-part verbs.
