Giving narrative characters emotion
This is a fill in the blank exercise where students replace She said, �....� with more interesting verbs and adverbs. The main idea of this exercise is to get students thinking about how to give their characters more dimension by using more descriptive language such as �screamed loudly�, �whispered quietly� etc.
