Here is a good list of idioms. These are great to start a class with to get the students thinking or guessing the meaning.
Or, another great way to use this - put the students in small groups, give each group about 5-7 idioms and meanings all cut apaprt and have the group try to match the meaning and the idiom - great for critical thinking.
