Opening a Bank Account
This reading is for adult immigrants with limited English. I would suggest using "I put in" and "I take out" to lead into deposit and withdraw. Depending on your students, you can repeat this for a ...

Can/ Cant strip story and dialogue
This is a sample dialogue with a salesperson. Students see can and cant in context. As a reading exercise, they acquire skimming and context skills by you cutting up the story and them identifying the order of events. It can also continue as a model for writing their own dialogue and eventually as a script in a spoken role play. Have fun!
