Human rights abuse
I used this ws as a motivational tool to introduce the topic "Human Rights". It encourages discussion on themes such as the 2008 olympics and child labour. It also promotes student autonomy and research on up-to-date news/articles on this issue.

The Question Game for the Younger Learners
I made this easy, little BOARD GAME especially for my beginner classes.
I found that they speak more English when they are paired off 2 and 2. All you need to do is make one copy pr. pair and a die to roll. The earlier they start speaking the better they become.
If you laminate it, you can use it over and over.

shopping for nutritional choices
This worksheet informs the student about nutritional choices in Canada. Many of my students are confused about the food available and are often shocked that what they thought was a healthy choice was actually considered "junk food" to Canadians. Very useful for discussions concerning a healthy diet.

Every student has a task sheet, They walk around a room asking each other questions and collecting names. Its much more fun if the time limit is set - I gave them...
