Firstly, students read and do the comprehension exercises, then they undertake the food test before they learn how to make a Spanish omelette. This story/dialogue is one of my favourites as it is based on facts. My young son "Jonathan" (ignoring my warning) ran in front of a car and had his leg broken. My students love rolling on the floor shouting "My leg! My leg! My leg!"
