Minion Madness Activity Pack from Despicable Me
My kids and I watched so many videos featuring these cute minions I just had to make some games and activities to go with the movie. This set includes a gameboard, game cards, minion money, writing sheets, wanted poster, recipe cards, award badges and more.
The cards can be used with the gameboard or separately. Edit the material to suit your needs.
One idea for play includes asking students to come up with "naughty" things that kids do that are "despicable". These suggestions can be added to the cards and used this way orally:
Player 1: I broke my motherīs vase!
Class Responds: Thatīs despicable! What did you do next?
Player 1: I tried to hide it at first, but then I helped my mother glue it back together.
These types of sentences can review or reinforce conjunction words, sequencing and desirable vs. undesirable behaviours. You may use this set to also discuss the typical actions of villains in movies as compared to the "good guys".
Here you will find some banana bread recipe cards as well. You can use them in a ESL cooking class and review sequencing, following directions or delete some info. from each card to create a gap-fill exercise where two students must compare cards to complete the recipe. (How about making banana bread and eating it while watching Despicable Me ?)
Students can draw their favourite villian on the wanted poster on page 14.
Print the minion money on colored paper for reward dollars or even for a fun math lesson.
