Hachiko Waits Reading Comprehension
As a previous activity you may work with different kinds of texts and use flashcards, so that your students may recognize the structure and format of texts such as essays, magazine articles, and in this case, a book review. Then you may talk about different landmarks and memorials around the world, and the stories behind them. I used this worksheet as part of a unit based on the movie starred by Richard Gere "Hachiko: a Dog´s Tale". This worksheet was for my students to get to know the story, so that they could then think of someone they admired - a hero of their own - and prepare an oral presentation as it is shown in the beginning of the movie. Hope you may use it and enjoy it :D
