Jobs in the movies- speaking cards
1. Each actor has a ROLE to play and LINES to say.
2. The script is written by a SCREENWRITER.
3. The star who plays the most important part is the LEAD ACTOR (man) or LEAD ACTRESS (woman).
4. Sometimes in action films and dangerous scenes, a STUNTMAN replaces the lead actor.
5. Characters who appear but don´t speak are played by EXTRAS . In modern movies, they do everyday actions. For example, they TALK/WALK/SERVE FOOD/ ACT IN CROWD SCENES….
6. The people who work on the set are the CREW (like the sailors on a ship).
7. The director is the person who DIRECTS THE ACTORS AND THE CREW.
8. The CAMERA OPERATOR shoots / films the scenes. Many takes are often necessary.
9. The SOUND RECORDIST is in charge of the sound and the mikes.
10. The set designer is in charge of the SET.
11. The props master puts the PROPS in place.
12. The HAIRDRESSER does the actors´ hair or prepares the wigs.
13. The make-up artist is in charge of the actors´ MAKEUP.
14. The costume designer DESIGNS THE COSTUMES.
