A VIDEO ACTIVITY: FOLKTALE ´MOMOTARO´
This is a nice video activity I did with my B1+ students. It is a japanese folktale. I let them watch the video ( the link is provided) while 4 of the students stayed out of the class. Then I organized 4 group and assigned each of the four students to a different group. They had to tell the story to the student who had not watch the video and they could not use the words from the worksheet they had to work on later on.
Then I gave the worksheet to the different groups. They read the story and complete the exercises.
They had real fun and it was real learning. There are a lot of possibilities to reuse it later as a follow up exercise (drama, write the story, change the characters....) It is also a good way to start dealing with folktales in literature.
