Distance Learning During the Pandemic: How to Succeed (video worksheet)
The purpose of this worksheet is to prepare students for taking online classes, especially during the pandemic.
The first part consists of listening exercise based on a youtube video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ExVN1qkVgo&t=488s ). It also includes speaking exercise to discuss ideas mentioned in the video and brainstorm more of them.
The second part of this worksheet focuses on the vocab used by the speaker in the video. There are two exercises in which students are asked to match words with definitions and to use them in sentences.
The last part of this worksheet is a discussion on the advantages/disadvantages of distance learning. Students can work in two groups. Each group reads a different article (one group is expected to focus on advantages, the other one on disadvantages). After reading the articles, students write down their ideas and then discuss them with the whole class.
It might take more than one class to complete all the tasks. Enjoy! : )
