Hello, I have been teaching English for a lot of years but I know I still have a lot to learn, and this site seems to me a wonderful idea. Thanks to all the teachers for sharing their work.

Nice exercise but sentences 12-18 donīt make any sense. īShe has been waiting this for/since....ī is not right.

Great exercise.

Sentence 19 is a bit of a problem.
"Iīve been loving you FOR all my life."

It should be:
"I have loved you all my life."
In British English, you generally donīt use a continuous with stative verbs (e.g. like, love etc.)
See a longer list here:
http://esl.about.com/od/grammarstructures/a/g_stative.htm

And you donīt use "for" with all my life.
Iīve been British all my life ;-).
(But Iīve had dual nationality for 30 years.)

Thanks, cchat, corrected. I suppose I was influenced by the song "Iīve been loving you too long" :)

Report this worksheet if you think it should be removed!

It is a copy. I've seen the original here:

It is not an ESL resource.

The file is empty or corrupted.
