This test contains 20 pictures of 4-letter words with long vowel sounds (a,e,i,o,ai,etc.). Phonics teaches students the relationship between letters and sounds (or phonemes), thus enabling them to become better readers and spellers. This test is aimed at testing the latter. cagreis GREAT!          posted by cagreis 0 Loved that students can listen to the word before filling in the blanks. I sometimes use a website that has a similar activity - listening to words and spelling them.
