Hi,

I may not use the abbreviations you need, but I can tell you the parts of speech for each word.

The = adj. (Also called an article or determiner)
old = adj.
hag s = possessive adj.
hat = noun/subject
was = helping verb in verb phrase (aux. verb)
stolen = main verb of verb phrase

I hope that I helped you.

Hi there,

Hat= S

When drawing a tree and as the words the/old/ hag s are part of the subject of this sentence they should be written below the word hat (one line each) keeping the word hag and the possessive s together (hag s). The word hag is a noun acting as an adjective (= adjectival).

was stolen=VP

Hi! The answers are correct. I only add that hags is a premodifier to the main noun hat.
