@ Douglas,
I know that in German you talk to people you don �t know more formally (Sie), but in Spanish you inly use that treatment (usted) when the person is older, much older actually. For example, I am 36, if I were to ask the question to someone my age I would never use usted (Sie). Although things might be a bit different in South America, we don �t ususally do that in Spain.

Hi!! I love it!! The Argentinian version would be like the Spanish one... But instead of asking "�De d�nde eres?" we say "�De d�nde sos?" ( it is a more informal way...)
