Hi Larei,

I love answering questions like this!

I would say:

She is in a wheelchair.

She is in a wheelchair because...

Well walk and Sue will be in her wheelchair. (This covers electric/manual chairs and if anyone is pushing her or not)

He was caught drink-driving in his electric wheel chair.

He was driving his electric wheelchair when....... something happened.  (This is OK but only for an electric wheelchair.)

Thanks for replying, Apodo! Hug
What you say makes absolutely sense but what about those who are able to move the wheelchair themselves by turning the wheels? See Paralympics... Geek

Members of the Paralympic team play basketball in wheelchairs. During the game they might drive their chairs really hard.
I would say: He moved quickly to the other side of the court. -- rather than He drove quickly....)
(Because these are not motorised chairs)
