I have got a really simple question.We call north ,east ,west andsouth as main directions.what about southeast or northwest ? Many thanks from now. |

I believe N, S, E and W are called cardinal points, whilst SE, NW, NE and SW are called intercardinal or sub-cardinal points. |

Hi all
Personally, I have no idea but my trusty friend Wikipedia calls the in-between compass points ordinal directions. The major points are cardinal directions.
